Bloomington is located southwest of Minneapolis and is connected to highways 35W, 494, 100, 169 and 77 (Cedar Ave).  Its central location and variety of amenities make it one of the most convenient communities in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area. Home to the Mall of America, the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Hyland ski hills and jump, and employers totaling more than 90,000 positions, Bloomington, MN is one of the anchors of the Twin Cities.  In addition, almost a third of the city is dedicated to parks!  Bloomington homes for sale are perfect for those who are looking for a balance between the openness of the suburbs and the convenience of the city.  Primarily built between the 1930′s to the early 1990′s, there is a great variety of homes for sale to choose from in one of the largest cities in Minnesota.

There are condominiums starting in the $130′s, townhouses in the $160′s, and houses in the low $200′s.  As a former 13-year resident of Bloomington, I have an intimate knowledge of the city, its housing, and amenities.  Given the established nature of Bloomington real estate, prices on the whole have been a little more stable than in some neighboring communities, and there is actually a shortage of some homes for sale in certain price points.  You cannot paint too broad of a brush though – every city has a variety of real estate and its own set of dynamics.
